Mark has over 30 years’ experience in banking and mortgage lending. His speciality is in bridging loans, commercial mortgages, development finance and business loans. He is a well known face within the financial services community and is considered an expert in short term lending and debt advisory.
Mark Harrison Career to date
Mark is currently Managing Director of Breeze Capital, a short term lender based in Chester which is funded by a UHNW family and institutional bank funding.
Prior to this he managed the finances of another HNW family and built their business from zero to almost £48m when he left to set up Breeze Capital.
Going back a little further, Mark was Sales & Marketing Director at GE Money for the UK & Ireland (a division of GE Capital) and was responsible for the performance and P&L of a 168 strong specialist lending division and led them through the infamous credit crunch of 2007. GE Money ended up lending just short of £5bn in 2008 with over £3bn of that originating from Marks’ division.
Before joing GE, he spent over 6 years working for the Investment Bank Merrill Lynch. He joined Merrill Lynch as an Area Manager and was promoted to National Sales Manager, Head of Sales and finally reaching the position of Vice President of European Real Estate Debt.
Mark joined Merrill Lynch from Bank of Scotland who he joined as a BDM (within residential mortgages) and left as Director of Commercial Finance with his speciality being the leisure and hospitality industry. Average ticket size was £6.4m.
